Living with Hard Flaccid and Chronic Pelvic Floor Dysfunction

I was told by many that it is something I would have to learn to live with and accept, to just get on with my life. However I could not live like that, I could not face spending the rest of my life in pain and isolation. Neither should you.

I had my first run-in with hard flaccid when I was 21, then again when I was 27 and again when I was 34. However this time it would not go away. For the first year, I tried to relax to meditate, doing pelvic floor physio and stretching to no avail. In the second year, I searched high and low for an answer visiting all types of holistic healers and modern-day therapies. I once spent £3000 on having my groin electrocuted to regrow muscle tissue (which obviously didn’t work).

In the third year I finally came across a theory I could understand and that seemed logical. So I threw myself into it wholeheartedly and for the past two years trained my body and mind to be the best it can be.

Now two years later I can happily say I have no symptoms left and have overcome this horrible condition.

If you look at the before and after photos to the right you can see what I looked like 5 years ago. I weighed 17 stone was totally out of shape.

However at my age it was not a simple case of going to the gym and do the normal work out. I had to learn specific training technique to strengthen and lengthen my whole body.

In the first two photos, I am 34 and have just got hard flaccid back for the third time

In the bottom two photos I am five years older at 39 and I do not have hard flaccid anymore
